I’m pleased to let you know the Monday Meetup schedule for the next few months.

  • Monday 18 February
  • Monday 18 March
  • Monday 22 April
  • Monday 27 May

And yep, our first Monday Meetup is just next week on 18th February!

You’ll find us at the tables in an alcove off the main dining area of Dooley’s, just outside the Board Room.  There is no cost for this meeting.

With the start of a brand new year, I’d like to talk about some of the interesting things we could do this year as a group, to keep us challenged and sewing! Come along with any ideas that you might have!

You should know that until new ‘leaders’ are organised, there may not be a ‘leader’ at the Monday Meetups. I cannot guarantee that I can make it, unfortunately. But I can guarantee that if you come along, you’ll have a lovely evening, and meet some really clever, talented, funny and friendly ladies!

About Dooley’s

Waterview Dooley’s is a social club adjacent to parklands on the Parramatta River. Access is free for those who live outside a 5km radius of the venue. If you are within the 5km range, then membership is required but is a low $5.50/year. With membership, you are entitled to a 20% discount on food and a 15% discount at  the bar. We plan to meet there regularly, so it may be worthwhile to join, if you plan on attending more than one meeting.   Dooley’s serves a wide range of club food. You’re welcome to sit down and enjoy a dinner out with us while we meet.

Getting There

Waterview Dooley’s is located in Silverwater at the cnr of Clyde St and Silverwater Road.  We know many of you are coming from various parts of the city. We invite you to use theFacebook Group as a way of arranging carpools and ride shares.

Hello, I would like to attend the Monday meeting on the 18th but am having trouble getting there, I was wondering if I could bring my mother along with me. Also this is the first quilters group I have joined and am not sure what to expect, do I bring anything along with me? Thank you Marissa Turner

    • Of course, Marissa! Both you and your mother are very welcome!

The Monday Meetups are a relaxed get together on a Monday night for just a couple of hours. We all sit at one big table in the dining area, and most people order a meal from the bistro, although this is not necessary. We talk about all things quilting, fabric, gadgets, and more. We often have a theme for the evening, such as your favourite pattern or your favourite thread. At next week’s meeting, I’d like to talk about some of the things we could work on together this year.

Feel free to bring something to keep your fingers busy while we chat (hand sewing, knitting, etc) but that is optional. Also, we’d love you to bring along something that you are working on to show us!

I hope that helps! We look forward to seeing you both on Monday!
